Over the past several years,

Caroline has worked in corporate social media video positions creating viral internet video content and also working freelance positions for film and television shows!

COMPANIES:

  • Location: Birmingham, Alabama.

    While at Meredith, Caroline produced and directed series-based and recipe demo videos for Well Done/Myrecipes.com, Southern Living, Allrecipes, and Hello Giggles. Coordinated a Visiting Chef episode into a “BBQ&A” episode. Assisted with Foundry (sponcered client) shoots and helped with client communications. She worked cross-brand, coordinating productions and post-production with Allrecipes and Eating Well. Even though she worked cross-brand, she understood the vibe of each brand.

    During the lockdown in 2020, she worked from home creating content primarily for Eating Well. As an Eating Well producer, she helped create and coordinate some new unscripted shows from one kitchen to another. These shows had an “at-home” feel and were instructional on how people could cook and cope while being in lockdown. During this time, she coordinated and produced four shows at one time.

  • Location: Birmingham, Alabama.

    Caroline produced, directed, and edited videos for “It’s A Southern Thing” and “This Is Alabama” under the Red Clay Media brand. She created two successful unscripted-based series, “Back Porch Bickerin” and “Southern Certified.”On these projects, she used her Photoshop design knowledge -to create and teach some team members how to create engaging youtube thumbnails.

  • Location: Los Angeles, California.

    As an intern at BuzzFeed Los Angeles Caroline produced nine videos that have been posted on both the BuzzFeed website and YouTube. She managed shooting schedules and budgets, selected and purchased props, put together casts, and hired actors. I also assisted BuzzFeed producers on a wide variety of video projects including "taste tests," scripted video content, live shows, and videos about trending topics, all with the goal to create viral hits on the internet.

  • Location: Savannah, Georgia.

    During a post-graduate internship with the Ocean Exchange from June-September 2014, Caroline helped produce ten short environmental narratives to present at the Ocean Exchange's annual conference held each September in Savannah, GA. Each video represents an idea that could potentially help the world. Founded in 2010, the Ocean Exchange is an IRS 501(c) (3) organization reaching across multiple disciplines and boundary to accelerate the distribution and adoption of solutions that positively impact economies and the environment. By connecting innovators and organizations, the Ocean Exchange empowers the successful application of solutions for the greater good.

  • Location: New Orleans, Louisiana.

    During Caroline’s undergrad years one summer, she took up an internship with Peggy Scott Laborde at PBS New Orleans. At her internship she timed live shows, Assisted with Chyron, Familiarized with Beta tapes and footage, Organized important papers, On-site documentary skills, Organized tape room, Prop runs, Transcribed footage into tv scripts from xdcam footage,produced mini segments, Learned how to segment live shows, edited segments, Learned how to organize off-site interviews, Educated in key question skills.
